About ALIC

ALIC is a network that emerged out of the Association of Asians and Pacific Islanders of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (AAPI-ELCA) to provide opportunities for communities that share cultural and linguistic bonds to engage in theological reflection relevant to their cultural backgrounds and ministries.

ALIC is the first and the only network that brings Asians in the ELCA and Asians from Asia together for fellowship, networking, theological discussion, and sharing of mutual concerns in ministry. ALIC has been organized by the AAPI-ELCA, an association recognized by the ELCA through its Domestic Mission Unit. It is a partnership of AAPI-ELCA and ELCA Domestic Mission Unit and Global Mission Unit.
